The top navigation in the Flywire Staff Experience is how you move between search, tools, and the patient you’re helping. Some items are always available; others appear only when you have opened a patient or guarantor account, or only for certain roles. If you do not see an option described below, your permissions or your organization’s configuration may limit it.
Help Center
Opens the Flywire healthcare Help Center in a new browser tab—product guides and support content separate from your hospital’s internal procedures.
Actions Menu
Your primary hub for cross-patient tools. Common entries include Patient Search, Transaction Search, Virtual Terminal, Reports, and Release Notes. Depending on role and settings, you may also see Store (non-patient or cashier-style payments), analytics or dashboard links, cash/bank workflows, user administration, or other operational tools.
Patient Search (under Actions)
Jumps to the Staff home area focused on the Patient Search tab so you can look up patients or guarantors by account information, demographics, email, and optional filters.
Transaction Search (under Actions)
Opens the Transaction Search tab so you can find payments using transaction details (for example, date, amount, last four digits, or transaction number).
Virtual Terminal (under Actions, when available)
Starts or resets the Virtual Terminal flow for card-present or keyed entry—often used when you cannot match someone in Patient Search or when policy directs payment through the terminal.
Reports (under Actions, when available)
Opens the Reports area for operational and reconciliation reports your organization has enabled.
Release Notes (under Actions)
Opens release notes for what is new or changed in Flywire—useful after upgrades or when troubleshooting behavior.
Your name (profile menu)
Opens your personal menu. Staff commonly see Account Profile (notification preferences), My Activity (when enabled for your role), Change Password, and Log out. Patients see different options here; this article describes the Staff Experience.
