Staff can access a refundable transaction from either the Patient Search tab or the Transaction Search tab.
Option 1: Patient Search Tab
- Go to the Patient Search tab.
- Search for the patient using available search criteria, such as account number, MRN, name, date of birth, or email address.
- Select the correct patient from the Patient Search Results page.
- Open the patient’s Payment History.
- Click View Transaction for the payment that needs to be refunded.
7. On the Transaction Details page, select Refund.
8. On the Refund Processing page, review the refundable amount.
9. Enter the Amount to Refund.
10. Enter the Refund Reason.
11. If prompted, select the bill or account that should receive the refund posting.
12. Submit the refund.
Option 2: Transaction Search Tab
- Go to the Transaction Search tab.
- Search for the payment using available search criteria, such as transaction number, name, email address, transaction date, or transaction amount.
3. Select the transaction ID from the Transaction Search Results page.
4. On the Transaction Details page, select Refund.
5. On the Refund Processing page, review the refundable amount.
6. Enter the Amount to Refund.
7. Enter the Refund Reason.
8. If prompted, select the bill or account that should receive the refund posting.
9. Submit the refund.
After the refund is complete, Flywire creates a refund transaction and returns the funds to the original payment method.
