| Concept Name | What It Means |
| Provider Plan | A plan where the patient pays the provider through Flywire. Staff can fully manage it (modify terms, combine, forgive, cancel). This is what's usually meant by a "provider-funded" plan. |
| Financed (PayZen) Plan | A plan financed and serviced by PayZen. Term changes are limited in Flywire and generally handled by PayZen. |
| PayZen Funding | Money PayZen disburses to the provider for a bill it has financed. Shown as "PayZen Funding Amount." Note: "funding" here means PayZen paid the provider — it is not the same as a "provider plan." |
| Conversion to Provider Plan | When a financed plan exits PayZen, the old plan is closed and a new active Provider Plan is created from the remaining balance. |
| Back-Booking | Moving an eligible existing Provider Plan into PayZen financing. (See the "Eligible PayZen Plans" and "Skipped Back Book Plans" reports.) |
| Offboard | Removing a plan from PayZen financing. Depending on whether bills were funded, it ends as either a cancellation or a conversion to a Provider Plan. |
| Service Fee / Fee Type | Whether a plan carries a standard fee (Regular), no fee (Free), or a fee that's been Waived. |
